01 Refrigeration pump storage - customer case

Foshan Midea Carrier Air-conditioning Equipment Co. Ltd. was established as a joint venture between Guangdong Midea Air-conditioning Equipment Co., Ltd. and Carrier Asia Co., Ltd. Its business scope includes design, assembly, development, production and operation of household air conditioners and light commercial air conditioners.

This time, Midea Carrier's outdoor storage cabinets are mainly used to store refrigerant pumps and booster pumps that contain R32 refrigerant. This is also the first time that SYSBEL has provided tailor-made solutions for refrigerants.

R32 generally refers to difluoromethane, a coolant with zero ozone depletion potential. Since difluoromethane has the risk of leakage and explosion, it must be stored in pressure-resistant steel cylinders and kept away from ignition sources.

After a week of program communication, SYSBEL provided users with outdoor storage cabinets for hazardous chemicals with multiple safety guarantee functions such as fire prevention, explosion prevention and leakage prevention.

As China's top provider of hazardous chemical safety management solutions, this is not the first time SYSBEL has cooperated with Midea Group. As early as 2021, the first phase of the hazardous chemicals temporary storage cabinet project of Midea Group's Anhui base will be implemented to provide users with more safety guarantees.

According to the "Global and China Refrigerant R32 Industry Trends In-Depth Analysis Research Report" released by Berges Consulting in January 2023, the application fields of refrigerant R32 industry include automotive air conditioners, household air conditioners, and industries.

In addition to R32, refrigerants are widely used in industrial equipment, which has great potential safety hazards. Commonly used refrigerants such as R290 (propane) refrigerant and R600a (isobutane) refrigerant are flammable and explosive.

These flammable, explosive, and poisonous hazardous chemicals can easily endanger human life and property if they lack a safe storage environment. However, the cost of building Class A warehouses is high, time-consuming and labor-intensive. Outdoor fire cabinets are safe and convenient, meeting the requirements of safety supervision, and the demand has increased dramatically.

In 2021, the SYSBEL 2.5-hour fire-resistant safety cabinet passed the real-fire combustion test of the State Key Laboratory of Civil Engineering Disaster Prevention (Tongji University), refreshing the highest level of real-fire combustion tests for fire-resistant cabinets in China, and raising the technical level of the domestic fire-resistant cabinet industry to a new level high.
